IPWHOIS is a free utility for understanding the public registration of an IP network—not searching for the person behind an address.

What You Can Do

Look up one public IPv4 or IPv6 address, read the registered range and record details, open the official source, and copy or download a contextual report. The field guides explain the values and common interpretation mistakes.

How the Answer Is Produced

The application uses IANA bootstrap data and a reviewed set of official Regional Internet Registry RDAP services. It checks that the returned network range contains your query, then displays selected fields with the source and fetch time. It does not call an AI model to invent fields or assign a risk score.

What Is Outside the Scope

This is not a domain registrant search, BGP routing monitor, geolocation database, reputation scanner or complete organization/contact directory. It does not prove ownership of a device or attribute activity to a person.

Keeping the Tool Available

The current setting is 60 requests per source IP in a rolling 60 seconds, with a separate 6-lookup per-minute budget inside that allowance. No account or advertising click is needed.
