Verify Important Decisions

Records may be incomplete, cached or affected by provider availability. A lookup does not establish identity, precise location, current routing, security, reachability or who generated traffic. Verify consequential decisions independently.

Respect Shared Resources

Do not overload the service, bypass limits, harvest data abusively or use the tool to facilitate abuse. The current overall allowance is 60 requests per source IP in a rolling 60 seconds, with a separate 6-lookup per-minute budget. Respect Retry-After and provider notices. Bulk collection is not the purpose of this site.

Sources, Availability and Links

The service is provided as available without an uptime commitment. Limits and features may change. Review the official registry’s notices before reusing data. External links do not guarantee another site’s accuracy or availability. Promotions never need to be clicked to use the tool.

No Automatic Actions

IPWHOIS does not change a firewall, scan a device, file an abuse report or contact a provider on your behalf. Copying or downloading a report does not submit it anywhere.
