Read an IP registration record

An IP registration record describes a network allocation. It does not reveal who was at the keyboard.

Start with the range

A record’s first and last addresses describe the inclusive range registered in that record. Its name and handle are registry identifiers, not necessarily a consumer-facing brand or the name of the website using an address. An address can be part of a larger allocation with smaller downstream assignments.

RDAP replaces a wall of WHOIS text

The Registration Data Access Protocol returns structured registration data over HTTPS. This tool uses IANA’s IP bootstrap data to find a Regional Internet Registry. Supported referrals stay within the five reviewed RIR services. A missing or unsupported referral is shown as a limitation, not an invented result.

Country is not geolocation

A registry country code can describe an organization or administrative context. It is not a reliable statement about the user’s location. This tool does not add a city, map pin, risk score, ASN inference or personal identity to a record.

Registries can omit fields, redact contact data, update assignments and impose query limits. We show a limited network summary, record notices and a direct source link. We do not scrape nested contacts. Results may be cached for ten minutes; the fetched time remains visible.
